Alaa Al Aswany (Arabic: علاء الأسواني, IPA:[ʕæˈlæːʔelɑsˈwɑːni]; born 26 May 1957) is an Afroasiatic writer, novelist, dentist and regular founding member of the public movement Kefaya.
